“Cook Pal Ei” knives were developed by fusing such traditional techniques with the most advanced technology. For the blade of the knives, “37-layer forged Damascus steel” with wavy lines known as “kasumi nagashi” is used. Each side has 18 layers of high-carbon and low-carbon stainless steel alternately layered with the core material in the middle.

These products are meticulously handmade by skilled craftsmen who are transmitting a unique aspect of Japanese culture by producing cutting tools that offer excellent sharpness and durability.

Japan's Unique Forged Damascus Steel COOK-PAL EI

Cook Pal Ei products use DP Damascus steel (kasumi nagashi steel) and the same high-quality cutting tool materials utilized in the manufacture of Japanese swords. In the forged Damascus steel, 37 high-carbon and low-carbon stainless steel are layered with a cobalt alloy steel core material for refined sharpness and high durability.
